ALCHEMY AIRBRUSH MAKEUP WORKSHOPS:

If you are interested in learning the art of airbrushing, the knowledgeable instructors at Alchemy Center will make your learning easy, informative and enjoyable.
Instead of large groups, where the entire class moves along at the speed of the slowest learner, private or small group lessons ensure that you yourself walk away with the instruction and information you desired and paid for.
You won’t have to waste time and money learning things you really are not interested in and have no intention of doing. In a one-on-one setting, all the attention is on one thing - you.

You don’t need any previous art experience to learn to airbrush.

At Alchemy Center we private and custom airbrush classes for both beginner to advanced students and everyone in between. Day, evening and weekend classes are available to suit your busy schedule. On-going support is also available to all students to ensure that they maintain their learning momentum.

The skill of controlling an airbrush is the same, no matter on which of the following surfaces you choose to paint on:

ALCHEMY AIRBRUSH MAKEUP TECHNIQUES FOR MAKEUP ARTISTS – LEVEL 1

Airbrush makeup is revolutionizing the art of makeup application. The Level 1 Airbrush Makeup Techniques Course is an introduction to state-of-the art skills and techniques in flawless airbrush make-up applications for day, evening, bridal, HDTV, fashion and editorials. You will learn how to choose an airbrush that will give you the best results, what brands of makeup work best for specific types of looks as well as basic tattoo coverage. This course emphasizes hands-on practical care and maintenance of airbrush equipment, dexterity exercises, theory and practice.

Course fee includes materials, equipment, products and supplies used in class

ALCHEMY AIRBRUSH MAKEUP AND BODY ART TECHNIQUES FOR MAKEUP ARTISTS – LEVEL 2

In the Level 2 Airbrush Makeup Techniques Course you will expand your existing airbrushing knowledge and techniques with a variety of high-fashion editorial and trendy looks for face and body. This course emphasizes hands-on practice and detail work. You will also learn how to combine airbrushing with body painting, create various fantasy looks, make shields and stencils and apply temporary tattoos. You will also expand your expertise in highlighting and shading the body and learn innovative airbrushing rendering techniques to achieve desired results.

This innovative and informative bridal workshop is perfect for airbrush makeup artists wishing to expand into having a bridal makeup business. You will learn everything you need to know about doing flawless, long lasting airbrush makeup for brides, mothers and bridal parties including color theory as it relates to choosing the right colours for multiethnic skin tones. You will also learn how to market yourself, create and run a successful and profitable airbrush makeup bridal business.

This is an intermediate makeup workshop for those students with airbrush makeup experience who wish to airbrush eye makeup with speed, ease and expertise! This workshop emphasizes corrective techniques, creativity, colour theory and innovate airbrush eye makeup techniques for fashion, photography, runway and editorials. You will also learn how to accessorize eye designs and use stencils for more advanced looks.

PIN UP AND VINTAGE HAIR STYLING WORKSHOP WITH LARISSA P.

Vintage hairstyles are very popular these days - look at Dita Von Teese, Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry! Have you ever wanted to learn how to achieve these beautiful looks but never thought you could? Now you can learn how to do them on yourself and others in this afternoon workshop with Larissa.

Larissa has been specializing in vintage hairstyling techniques for several years, her work has graced the stages of burlesque shows and pin up photoshoots all across the city. To her, its a lifestyle and she wants to teach you how you can make it yours!
In this afternoon workshop you will learn 3 standard vintage looks with different ways to achieve them. You will learn to do Victory rolls (and any other rolls you may be curious to try), Veronica Lake waves and simplified Fingerwaves. You will also have a chance to bring in any ideas or styles you'd like to try your hand at - feel free to bring in photos if for inspiration.

HAIR STYLING FOR MAKEUP ARTISTS

Alchemy Center is proud to teach a series of informative and affordable hands-on hair styling workshops for makeup artists and hair enthusiasts. This comprehensive series of 4 courses offers professionals as well as beginners the chance to learn valuable tips & tricks from industry’s experienced instructors. Space is very limited, pre-registration required.

Cost - $480 or $120 per class

Class 1 Blow Drying Techniques
In this class you will learn how to properly blow dry hair using a variety of styling tools for different hair types. Hair styling product knowledge will also be covered.

Class 2 Curling the Hair
This is a fabulous styling class. You will learn how to properly set the hair in hot rollers, using a curling iron and flat iron. You will also learn how to style the hair after you have completed the curled look.

Class 3 Styling
This creative class will explore a variety of hair styling techniques: braiding, finger waves, pin curls, beehives, flips and more. Learn modern and vintage styles and hot trends.

Class 4 Up-do’s
This class is highly recommended for professionals or students in the bridal industry. You will learn how to execute updo’s and choose the correct style for your client. Several methods will be taught to incorporate different styles.
